The first time I heard this track was with a fresh pair of Beats by Dre headphones on, shootin’ the shit amongst a bunch of hip-hop cool guys, including Kane Mayfield himself. I couldn’t help but get lost in the bass and flow of this track, and when the three minutes and change track was over, I took the headphones off and thought ‘Damm, that’s hip-hop’. Big, bad ass, noise cancelling headphones doesn’t hurt the process either. As the sample says, “You Ready?”
